Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian performer, actress and musician. Her work is primarily involved in Tamil or Malayalam-language movies. Her acting debut was with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah, born to an Anglo-Indian family from Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's father works as a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Her older sister is currently working and living in Leuven Belgium in the role of Research assistant. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing piano during her eighth year. At age 10 she was an active member of the Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the foundation of her performing and music composition career. She was also a theatre artist in her college and performed in a variety of productions staged in collaboration with The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was the President of Women's College's Student Senate. Andrea began performing as a child actor as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a brand new advertisement for Leo along with actor Shiva. She also acted in a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. She acted throughout India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon performed in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and then asked to have her play the female lead in Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker who's husband is involved in a sexual affair and gets targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was picked for the part after actresses Simran Shobana and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The film was first released in 2010. In 2011 she agreed to play a minor supporting character which was released in early 2010. Venkat Prabhu's film with a number of stars Mankatha which came out in August of 2011. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick from 2013.
