Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to the family of South London. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss and the mother of her is English. She was raised on a council estate located south of London. At the age fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She was a student of acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at school she appeared in several stage productions, including King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. She has appeared as an actor on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Her success led her to play Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character in ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also played the title character in How to lose friends & betray people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment back in 2008. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes for The CW before being cancelled. In February of 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After being a regular for the first two seasons, it was reported in late May 2013 that she would quit the show following her appearance on the pilot episode of the third season. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba in the TV series Salem. In June 2012, she got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he is also a part of the cast on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for the Gemini Award, comes from a large Hamilton family. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty along with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball in summer and hockey during winters. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. This led to the fact that at the age of 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions in jazz, tap hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist award at every major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention some.
