Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on the 14th of March 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. As the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the sole gymnast to win four gold medals at a single Games at the 2016 Olympics. She is the only person to have three world championships in succession. Biles was born in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro area. She and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics when she was just six during a day-care field trip at Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for eleven years under supervision of coach Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a medal in vault, and also a medal in floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She began participating in the elite level of competition. Within less than two years, she had become the top athlete in her field. Biles was notable for her consistency in performance, vivacious personality as well as the difficulty of her routines in all four events such as vaulting, uneven bars and balance beam.
