Dua Lipa was born 22nd august 1995, in London the United Kingdom. The singer-songwriter signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model. She launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album reached the top spot at No. three on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles released including Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F., and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum across a variety of countries. Future Nostalgia's second studio album came out in the year 2020. Let us help you commemorate the day she was born by sharing it with you. Dua Lipa was conceived in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Through her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian descent. You can also trace Lipa's family tree back to Peja from Kosovo. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. There are two sisters, Rina and Gjin. Her father, a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan the band Oda was a major influence on her music. Her father played music at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa was only five when she first began to sing. At the age of nine she began to learn how to sing. Lipa performed Beautiful, by Christina Aguilera, and If Ain't Get You by Alicia Keys. Lipa signed her first record deal in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
